President ECW
This position involves conducting meetings and informing the members of upcoming events, providing information from the ECW of Alabama and assisting in any way the needs of the church. Help to fill positions that meet the needs of the Church.
Vice President
Fills in for the President and helps to meet the needs of the Church.
Treasurer
Responsible for bookkeeping, deposits and disbursements of funds for the ECW.
Altar Guild
Prepare Eucharist for each service. Order supplies and instruct committee members on the proper set up, care and cleaning of the instruments.
Church Periodical Club (CPC) & United Thank Offering (UTO)
Educate parishioners about UTO and CPC and collect offerings to send to the Diocese. CPC is collected in the Fall; UTO is collected in Spring.
Congregational Needs
Form a committee of people to be available to prepare food, etc for members who need some assistance after surgery, injury or death.
Flower Guild
Prepare flowers for the Altar for each Sunday. Flowers are also needed at special times of the year such as Christmas, Easter and at Memorials.
Host/Hostess Coordinator
Assist in getting volunteers to host Sunday Reception after service. A list of responsibilities for the Host/Hostess is posted on the pantry door in the Kitchen.
Nursery
Insure that the children are being supervised and taken care of.
Pantry and Supplies
Keep the pantry and kitchen stocked with all supplies needed. Such as cleaning supplies, coffee, utensils, creamer, sugar, trash bags etc.
Prayer Chain
Members connected by phone to pray for anyone who is having surgery, has an injury, sickness, or death. The Chairperson has written guidelines for any person on this committee. All are welcome.
Telephone Committee
Members connected by phone to inform the parish of any special announcement or any event that needs to be communicated to church members.
Transportation
Provide transportation to any member such as to doctor’s appointment, outpatient surgery, rehab appointments and any other emergency that might arise.
Fundraising Committee
Any event needed to raise funds to help with the financial aspects to accomplish the church ministries.
Special Events-Decorating, Flowers & Food
Any event taking place in the parish hall that assistance is needed, such as special receptions and special programs, and special memorials.
Outreach
The ECW Outreach representative(s) coordinate the ECW contributions and support of as part of the greater Parish Outreach Committee efforts. If the ECW takes on a specific outreach ministry (i.e. Grace Harbor, ACS Walk for Life, etc.) then the Outreach rep(s) would coordinate those efforts with the ECW and parish, as necessary.
Love Pantry
Contact person available for any communication and to insure that donation are delivered to the Love Pantry.
Grace Harbor
Contact person to keep the parish informed about the progress and needs of Grace Harbor, form committee to insure the needs are being met.
Christmas Family Adoption Coordinator
A person needed to contact the Community Service to obtain families, post list at the church, and ensure gifts are picked up or delivered as needed.
Greeter’s Guild
A group of volunteers (either singles or couples) who greet any newcomers attending Sunday services in the Narthex before worship. The only tools needed are a smile and a firm handshake…or loving hug!
